HOW LONG SHOULD I GROW MY BROWS OUT BEFORE COMING IN FOR AN APPOINTMENT?

Please do not tweeze your own brows in the days leading up to your appointment. I recommend at least four to six weeks of completely untouched growth for a more impactful transformation and worthwhile visit.

HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

If you do not receive a confirmation email upon booking, your appointment was not successfully scheduled.

The Shape Shop calendar opens up six weeks in advance. All appointments must be secured using the online scheduling software at www.shapeshop.ca. To arrange a visit to Shape Shop, scroll down the page and click the button labelled BOOK NOW. Additionally, you’ll find a direct link via the website’s toolbar. From there you can select from an individual service menu, purchase packages, gift certificates or a Series of Five. Please reach out to info@shapeshop.ca with any questions.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT WHEN I ARRIVE AT MY APPOINTMENT?

Shape Shop is a private, by appointment only studio located on a residential property near the intersection of Bloor and Ossington. I kindly ask that you arrive on time as the waiting area cannot accommodate additional individuals that are outside the same friend or family group. If you arrive early or need help finding the studio, please call or text the number provided in your confirmation email and I’ll promptly assist you.

If traveling by TTC, the most convenient stop can be found at Ossington Subway Station, which is about a four minute walk away. Street Parking is available along Concord Avenue and on many of the neighbouring roads.

WHY TWEEZING?

The skin surrounding the eye area is incredibly delicate and can easily be compromised. Tweezing offers a gentle approach that’s safe for all skin types, textures and conditions. Individual hairs are removed from the root for ultra-precise and long-lasting results.

HOW LONG DOES TINTING LAST?

Tinting involves the application of a customized vegan, cruelty-free dye meant to darken brows and lashes and even out tonal inconsistencies. The results can last anywhere from two to five weeks, after which the colour will fade back to it’s natural state. To maintain a richness in tone for as long as possible, proper aftercare is essential. This includes the use of a gentle facial cleanser free from sulphates, AHA’s and BHA’s, avoiding chlorine and salt water pools, and wearing sunglasses year-round.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I VISIT SHAPE SHOP?

Every brow has it’s own agenda and hair growth happens at varying rates. When attempting to pinpoint your ideal grooming schedule, it’s important to avoid removing any hair from your brows for approximately four to six weeks between visits. This will help you to better understand your own growth cycle and allow any areas that might be more sparse to fill in. That being said, while a month or two may be the norm, some guests choose to visit Shape Shop every ten days, or as little as once per year depending on their preferences.

HOW DO VIRTUAL APPOINTMENTS WORK?

A Virtual Brow Shaping is a comprehensive experience directed at those of you who are looking for brow support from the comfort of your own home. One session via email will provide you with a customized, step-by-step plan that includes detailed eyebrow tweezing and trimming instructions, eyebrow makeup application tips and product recommendations, and some insight into what areas may need more growth to achieve a fuller and more symmetrical frame. This process will require patience and some faith in your own abilities, but the end result can be incredibly empowering. HOW DO I PURCHASE A GIFT CERTIFICATE?

To purchase a gift certificate, scroll down the page and click the button labelled BOOK NOW. Additionally, you’ll find a direct link via the website’s toolbar. From there you can select from three different gift certificate options, follow the prompts and proceed with payment. All gift certificates include tax in the listed price, and they never expire. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I PURCHASE A SERIES OF FIVE?

This bundle of five can include any of the following individual services: Brow Tweeze, Brow Makeup Tutorial, Virtual Brow Shaping, a Brow Tint or Lash Tint. Upon purchasing, you’ll be provided with a code that you can apply to any bookings that fall under the above categories. Multiple services can be scheduled at once, and the fee will be taken off with the code. The Series of Five includes tax in the listed price, and will never expire. HOW DO I PURCHASE A SHAPE SHOP SLIM RETRACTABLE BROW PENCIL?

The Shape Shop Slim Retractable Brow Pencil is currently only available for pickup. If you would like to purchase a pencil outside of your scheduled appointment, please reach out to info@shapeshop.ca for a virtual colour-match and to organize a pickup time and location.
